Did the airline lose your luggage and not respond?
Do they want to pay you an outrageous amount for your loss?
Don't accept it!

In the case of air transport, airlines are responsible for maintaining in good condition and returning to its owner the luggage entrusted to them for transport. In the event of loss, delay, damage or destruction of luggage during air transport, passengers have the right to have the company respond.
It is normal for airlines to pay only for the damage, not the loss, and they usually give a percentage much lower than the legal amount, offering immediate, ridiculous compensation, which generally does not cover the value of the suitcase.
In international air transport, compensation is up to a maximum of 1131 Special Drawing Rights (approximately CLP $1,200,000) , and in national transport up to a maximum of 40 UF (approximately CLP $1,300,000) .
To obtain compensation in accordance with the damage suffered, contact us and we will provide you with legal advice so that you obtain what corresponds to you for the damage caused, considerably increasing the amount of compensation .

Passenger and luggage rights
Each airline has its own baggage policy; check it when purchasing your ticket. If your baggage is lost, damaged or delayed during your trip, contact the airline or visit its website to file a written claim. Remember to always keep your baggage receipt.
My luggage arrived damaged or lost. What should I do?
If your baggage does not arrive, arrives damaged or is missing, you must notify the airline in writing immediately after noticing it, or within 7 days of the date of receipt.
What should I do if the airline delays the delivery of my luggage?
If your baggage arrives late, you must notify the airline in writing within 21 days from the date the baggage was handed over to the airline.
Can I claim compensation for my luggage?
In international air transport, compensation is up to a maximum of 1131 Special Drawing Rights (approximately CLP $1,200,000), and in national transport up to a maximum of 40 UF (approximately CLP $1,300,000). This is without prejudice to the right of passengers to resort to the Courts of Justice in order to demand payment of a higher compensation. If the passenger wishes the company to respond for the real value of the luggage, he/she must request that a declaration be presented with the value of this when handing over the luggage at the beginning of the flight. In such case, the company has the right to charge an additional fee or to not accept the transport of such luggage.
